The Mirror of Grace

When we look in the mirror, we often see our flaws, our failures, the parts of ourselves we wish we could change. But God's gaze is different. God looks at you and sees beloved child. Not because you've earned it or achieved it, but simply because you are. This is the foundation of everything: you are loved, fully and completely, exactly as you are right now.

A prayer for today: Loving God, help me to see myself through your eyes of grace, and to know myself as your beloved child.

Wrestling with God

Sometimes faith feels like a struggle. Like Jacob wrestling through the night, we grapple with doubt, fear, and uncertainty. But here's the gentle truth: God meets us in the wrestling. God doesn't ask us to have it all figured out or to arrive with perfect faith. God invites us to bring our whole selves—questions, struggles, and all—into the sacred conversation. The wrestling itself is prayer.

A prayer for today: Gracious God, meet me in my questions and hold me through my struggles, that I may know your presence even in the wrestling.
