Christ the Cornerstone

What does it mean to make Christ the cornerstone of our lives? A cornerstone is the foundation upon which everything else is built—the reference point that keeps the structure true. When we place God's love at the center, our other choices begin to align. Our priorities shift. Our responses to difficulty change. It's not about perfection, but about returning again and again to that solid foundation. What would it look like to build your day on the cornerstone of God's love?

The Small Choices

We rarely reject God in one dramatic moment. Instead, it happens gradually—through the small choices we make each day. A moment of impatience. A decision to scroll instead of reflect. A choice to hold onto resentment rather than forgive. These quiet decisions, seemingly insignificant on their own, shape the direction of our lives. The invitation today is simply to notice: Where are the small moments when you could choose to turn toward God's presence instead of away from it?

Prayer: Gracious God, help me to see the small choices before me today and to choose your presence in each one.

19th Sunday after Pentecost. Matthew 21:33-46

This week's sermon reminded us that turning away from God rarely happens in one dramatic moment. Instead, it's the small daily choices—moments of impatience, distraction, or self-centeredness—that gradually pull us away from God's presence. The beautiful truth is that Jesus offers us ongoing forgiveness and the chance to begin again each day. We invite you to join us for a five-day devotional journey exploring how we can make Christ the cornerstone of our lives through small, intentional choices to seek God's presence. Each day is a new opportunity to be forgiven, restored, and loved.
